Welcome to Mossman's fabric series. We are going to reintroduce you to our knit crepe fabrication. It is the most popular fabrication in our essentials collection and we are going to give you a little bit more of an understanding of how truly amazing this fabric is.
What is a crepe knit?
Also known as Milano knit, what we love most about this fabric is that it's quite stretchy but it also holds its weave really well. This means it's able to be quite fitted on the body yet also very flattering for all body shapes.

How do I style crepe knit?
Deanna is shown here wearing the Mayfair Long Sleeve Top with the Frequency Jean in Washed Black. We've repeated this top every season and what we love about it is all the button detailing the neckline which you can either casually unbutton, or wear it buttoned up for a more classic look.

We've also introduced a new shape which is called the Windsor Knit. Here Deanna wears the Windsor Knit Top in Chocolate with the Aspen Jean in Washed Blue, and Rachael wears the Windsor Knit Top in Black with the Frequency Jean in Classic Blue. It's a very similar shape to the Mayfair but the buttons are now actually down the front and it's got this amazing piping detail. These buttons are all functional and can also be undone or done up so you can have it split at the front and it also has functional buttons on the sleeve if you want to split through the arm as well.
Do you have crepe knit dresses?
We also have some amazing A-line dresses in the same fabric which are great to take you from day to night - Rachael's shown here in the Windsor Knit Midi Dress.
How do I care for crepe knit fabric?
Crepe Knit pieces should be folded, not hung, and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight as sunlight may cause fabric damage or discolouration.
Do not hang your crepe knit as this will distort and pull the knit out of shape.
Where can I find crepe knit styles?
These crepe knits are part of our 2026 Essentials collection, otherwise you can explore our full collection of crepe knit styles.
