On International Women's Day, Mossman invited a wide range of powerful and passionate women to Society restaurant in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD for a celebration of life and business.

Over the course of the luncheon, this group of female entrepreneurs took some time to share personal stories and discuss daily challenges, success, failure, resilience and the invaluable contributions of women in every sphere – from the workplace to the home, from local communities to the global stage.

Our Creative Director, Deanna Depetro included two of her closest friends who are the living embodiment of women who have demonstrated the ability to pivot into entirely new careers while embarking on the journey of motherhood. They, and the other attendees of this elegant event, are women who inspire us every day.

Deanna Depetro

Co-founder and Creative Director of Mossman, Deanna started her career as a buyer and product developer for a range of Australian brands before moving to NYC in her mid-twenties. Returning home, Mossman became her passion, and her vision for dressing sophisticated women of style has driven Mossman to new heights of success.

Lia Di Mingo

Formerly a Regional Director for one of the world’s leading recruitment agencies, Lia’s journey into parenthood sparked a desire to fill a gap in the market. Faced with the challenge of finding products that aligned with her personal style, Lia embarked on a two-year journey to create portier's hero product, the Limitless Baby Carrier. Since its inception, portier has rapidly gained popularity among modern parents worldwide, who appreciate its seamless blend of style and functionality.

Tanya Macheda

Following a distinguished career as a photo editor across Australia's leading newspapers and styling at one of Australia’s most iconic fashion brands, Tanya flipped the switch after becoming a mother to combine her two passions as a Fashion and Editorial photographer. She juggles the demands of her thriving career with the joys of motherhood as a mum to two girls, consciously curating the embodiment of the modern superwoman.

‘Go where the most life is – life is too short not to do what you love’.

Mossman is proud to be a part of a community of such inspiring women.
